We had a GREAT rendezvous. We had 52 camps our first year out. The entire camp came together to support URGR and make it a roaring success. Several of the participants started fund raisers to make sure all the bills got paid, and we had a start on next year.
The grand aggregate winner received a beautiful trunk built and donated by Dan Hoffman. We had a camp potluck on Wednesday. Everyone came with lots of great food. We had two washer tournaments, a great situation walk, a silhouette shoot, archery and knife and hawk competitons. Our youngest archer, just 4 years old, scored higher than older children and won a brand new bow and arrows, donated by Silver Back Traders. Other first place prizes for the children included 2 brain tanned and beaded neck pouches and a brain tanned and beaded hat band, donated by Buffalo Tail Beads.
Our thanks go out to all of the people it took to make this event a success. A special thank you to Bell's Fort Free Trappers for sponsoring this event, donating to the raffle and prizes, and loaning us the registration tent, seminar awning and silhouettes.
